Lorsque la lune est pleine et que le ciel est relativement clair et que les chutes Victoria sont à leur point culminant, d'énormes arcs-en-ciel apparaissent dans la brume la nuit.
La lumière de la lune est réfractée par l'embruns qui s'élève de la base des chutes Victoria. Cet événement unique est visible la veille, le jour de et le lendemain de la pleine lune.
