The royal livingstone express
De magnifiques locomotives et wagons à vapeur classiques, restaurés par Bushtracks Africa et Rovos Rail, intègrent une expédition à vapeur classique avec une cuisine raffinée fournie par le Royal Livingstone Restaurant and Chefs de Sun International.
Le train se compose de cinq voitures : deux voitures-restaurants, une voiture-cuisine, une voiture-salon et une voiture d'observation avec locomotives à vapeur 10e classe 156 et 12e classe 204, construites par Northern British Locomotive Works dans les années 1930. Loco 156 a été rénové par le célèbre artiste animalier David Sheppard et en 1971, il a été donné au patrimoine national zambien et restauré par Bushtracks en 2005. Le Beautiful Wembley Dinning Car a été construit par le Birmingham Railway Carriage et a été exposé à Londres à la British Empire Exhibition en 1924. Il fut expédié à l'Union et mis en service le 19 mai 1926. En l'honneur de ses fonctions d'exposition, il a été rebaptisé le Wembley.
Le train empruntera la ligne principale "Cape to Cairo" qui le conduira ensuite au pont des chutes Victoria. Une fois sur la ligne principale, le train quitte la banlieue de Livingstone et se rend sur le site du patrimoine mondial de Victoria Falls. Des gibiers comme l'éléphant et l'antilope sont souvent aperçus en route vers le poste frontière.

The Victoria Falls Bridge Run

Children pay full rate(not advisable for children under 12)
Guests will be required to carry their passports for identification purposes only – this will not affect guests’ visa status so passports will not be stamped.
The train will stop on the bridge for approximately 20 minutes and guests will have a chance to disembark from the train at this point.
A five course set dinner will be served at the Palm Grove siding before heading back to the Bushtracks siding.
Special dietary requirements need to be communicated in advance.
